Aha Moments!
What the teens have to say about the workshop…
Growing your Strongest Story workshop made me realise that…
… It is important to take charge of your own life, to be selfless and caring. This year my outlook on life became drastically negative but this workshop has helped me through dealing with my problems in a better way.
… I can be a better person. The best workshop ever! It showed me a whole new world of thinking.
… Your mindset is everything!
… There is a strong direction to follow that fits my personality and isn't difficult to find.
… There is no limit to my abilities. I belong somewhere that will bring me happiness and no one can make that decision for me. I must make a plan of action to finally have the story of my dreams.
… I am not alone.
… Every decision that I make has a huge impact on my future and that I must follow certain steps to make sure I am the best version of myself.
… I have many strengths I did not know of.
… I need to start focusing on my values and feel secure with myself. I should start being more thankful and grateful for all that I have.
… I do not know myself as well as I thought. I do know it is important to explore my personality to set future goals. And to trust my passions and interests.
… The story the Lord has set out for me is worth investing in, and then the ability to share that story is just as powerful. Thank you so much!
… I am who I am because of God and I must just stay true to myself and my passions and I must not worry.
… I have a lot of strengths and that I should learn to use them while wisely.
… I need to re-align/ rethink most things. It helped me realise certain aspects I didn't think about.
… I do not have to do everything to please others. My choices will result in my own contentment.
… Everyone is unique and different. I realised my strong points and values and to appreciate everyone around me.
… All of us are different and unique but that makes us special. I learned to not be afraid to express myself. Thank you.
… It will help me with my creative writing essays.
… I have a purpose and my values go deeper than just being a word in my vocabulary.
… I can think a lot deeper. I'm still learning about my purpose, there is still much to learn.
… Your future depends on you, your strengths and your values.
… It is important to make decisions for myself.
… I must be willing to take the next step and to never stop moving forward.
… In order for me to achieve my goals and dreams in life I need to work diligently.
… We are not alone in this world, there will always be people who will support us. Life is the decisions that you make so don't be afraid of it. Do what you're passionate about and live the life you can.
… I should write my story with the influence of my values.

Hi girls,
Don’t you just love a great story? Whether it’s a movie with friends, curled up on the couch binging on a series, a good book on a rainy afternoon, a reel on YouTube or a standout Insta story.
If there’s a good story to be heard, our guess is you’re probably all in! But stories do way more than just give us goose bumps, tears and laughter. Great stories move us, pull at us and change us. They make us think a little deeper, be more ready to love and less likely to hate. They push us to believe that the impossible is possible; and even teach us what things are worth living for and worth dying for.
Our days @StrongestStory revolve around stories and we love it! So when an invite arrived for us to attend a morning movie premiere, we quickly made the executive decision that a little sneak out of the office was totally acceptable. Morning coffee turned into strawberry slush-puppie and breakfast became popcorn and whispers. Who could possibly dream up a more perfect research project?
The lights dimmed and the music intensified …finally the story had begun.
It started as every good story should, with a main character who wanted something good – she wanted life. In between handfuls of salty popcorn, we found ourselves cheering on our young heroine. But of course, no great story was ever made without conflict. And before long we were holding our breath as obstacles were thrown at her. Was she going to dig deep and rise up? Would she muster enough courage to overcome? We waited in the dark, excited to see how she was going to find a way to get what she longed for? But she didn’t.
By now we were chewing on hard popcorn kernels and prodding at tasteless slush. We looked at one another in dismay as we slowly watched the circumstances crush her. She sunk to anything but a hero. She never got to where she wanted to go, she never found the courage to overcome and she never changed for the better. The movie ended with her becoming bitter and broken. Wait, what? How could the movie end like that? It made for a sad and rather lifeless story. We walked outside into the bright light that day totally deflated, but also more determined than ever. Determined to help young women find ways to grow courage, overcome their challenges and live stronger stories?
It was back to coffee and the drawing board of creating Growing your Strongest Story. What’s the solution to this problem? Why are there so many bad and sad stories? We think it’s because too much of our time is spent swiping and liking other people’s stories and that we completely forget to grow our own story.
As young people in today's crazy world, we are desperately trying to tell an authentic story, but we lose direction, we lack resilience, we make careless choices and ultimately, we’re left feeling confused about who we really are. This doesn’t make for a good story. So the question is… will our lives become just another uninspiring story that people will scroll past? Or is it possible for us to grow a story that stands out – one that changes us and changes the world around us. Can you be the heroine of a great story? The answer is yes, it is possible. You can be the heroine of your own story and you have what it takes. This is your strongest story and it’s a really good one!
We can't wait to join you on the adventure of discovering more about yourself. As we journey together, we're going to look inwards, upwards and outwards and we're going to help you plant some unique seedlings that we know, when well-watered and placed in the right environment, will help you grow a resilient, beautiful and very strong life story!
